A Community Gem Our Family Loves: Little Joe’s Farmstead

Some places just feel like home the moment you walk through the door—and Little Joe’s Farmstead is one of those places for our family. Whether we’re stopping in for a casual meal as a couple or gathering with friends and family, this restaurant never disappoints.

From the start, the friendly staff and welcoming owners make you feel genuinely glad you came. There’s an inviting, relaxed atmosphere that encourages you to linger, talk, and truly enjoy your time together. Inside, the newly remodeled space is warm and charming, while outside, the lovely garden and porch offer a peaceful setting that’s perfect for enjoying good food and great conversation.

And the food—always delicious. One of the things we appreciate most is that there truly is something for everyone. From kids to adults, picky eaters to adventurous ones, every meal feels thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. It’s the kind of place you can confidently recommend knowing everyone at the table will leave happy.

What makes Little Joe’s Farmstead even more special is the mission behind it. Established in 2024 within the Argyle Business District with the support of the Town of Argyle, this café is an extension of a vision that began years earlier with Little Matt’s restaurant in West University Place, Texas. That vision was born during a deeply personal and challenging season, as owner Jim Reid’s son, Kevin, bravely fought pediatric cancer for the second time.

Out of that experience came a heartfelt desire to create a place that brings families together—a place grounded in kindness, faith, love, and hope. From the very beginning, the mission has gone beyond serving great food. Proceeds from the restaurants have been donated to Texas Children’s Hospital, offering tangible support while spreading encouragement throughout the community.

Little Joe’s Farmstead carries that same passion and purpose here in Argyle and across DFW. It’s more than just a café—it’s a place to gather, to connect, and to be reminded of the good that can come from sharing a meal together.

For our family, Little Joe’s Farmstead isn’t just a favorite restaurant—it’s truly a community gem, and one we’re grateful to have right here in Argyle.
